iTV To Come in 3 Sizes, Flipboard For iPhone Debuts
0Will we see an iTV launched in the upcoming year? If the rumors are true, we may get it in 3 sizes. Apple already has a lot of success in the smartphone and tablet markets. The company does have the potential to revolutionize the HDTV market. Smarthouse is reporting that Apple will soon enter the TV market and will offer units from 32 to 55 inches in size.
Smarthouse sources suggest these TVs will have the A6 processor inside. Naturally, they will offer full Siri integration. According to Pipper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, Apple iHDTV units will be released in mid-2012. iHDTVs are rumored to offer a “combination of OLED display, as well as new Super HD TV technology from LG.” We have been hearing Apple HDTV rumors for quite some time. It seems, now more than ever, Apple is closer to releasing its own dedicated TVs.
Speaking of exciting developments, Flipboard has finally come to iPhone. Flipboard for iPad turns social network updates and RSS feeds into a digital magazine. Not everyone owns an iPad. Like its iPad counterpart, Flipboard for iPhone can handle updates from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google Reader, and other social sites.
Flipboard is introducing “Cover Stories” in this new app. It aggregates all the updates from your networks and saves you time keeping up. The experience should be quite familiar for those who have been using the iPad version of this app for a while. Flipboard for iPhone remains free.
