Give iPhone a Glowing Logo with iPatch Mod
0Apple iPhone is one cool looking, shiny smartphone. It lets its owners pull off all kinds of things with all the apps available for it. Those of you who want your iPhone to look even better can always invest in premium cases and mods. iPatch’s mod for iPhone is one of those mods worth investing in. It turns the Apple logo on your phone into a glowing one (just like the one on Macbooks).
iPatch is currently testing this modification to make sure it does not cause any issues for iPhones. It is expected to be released to the market some time in October. iPatch claims that the mod won’t affect iPhone’s battery nor does it heat up the device. The light goes off when you iPhone’s screen turns off. The logo comes back to life when you receive a call.
iPatch’s mod uses the iPhone’s case so it does not add any additional bulk to the device. The color of the logo can be changed by applying color filters. The intensity of its light can be modified too. iPatch’s kit is expected to be very much in demand. It will cost around $150.
Its not something that could be done at home without specialist equipment… Interest so far has been immense. We tend to just do general repairs but this mod was spawned from another we were working on at the time,
says Andy Smith, the director of iPatch. Here is the catch: applying this mod will void your phone’s warranty. Of course, the process is fully reversible and your phone’s performance won’t be affected at all (we hope). In order to do this by yourself, you will need to know iPhone at a circuitry level.
Overall, this does look like an interesting iPhone mod. Let’s hope iPatch’s plans materialize.
