7 Best Chess Apps for iPad
7Playing chess on iPhone is nice but it’s even more fun on iPad. The iPad’s larger screen makes it much easier to actually get a better grasp of positions. Besides, it’s easier on your eyes too. While you can use the majority of iPhone chess apps on your iPad, it never hurts to try those apps that are made specifically for your tablet. Top iPad chess apps have better graphics and are designed to take full advantage of everything iPad has to offer. If you are into chess, these 7 chess apps for iPad are worth trying:

Hi Fellow Chess Fanatics:
What I'm looking for in the 'dream' chess app for an i-Pad… are the following 2 features:
1. Plays IM level (FIDE 2400 rating) or better… chess.
2. The 'graphics' look of the chess board should be 'kind of 3D' with the look and feel of a competition Staunton chess set. Design of chess pieces (Staunton), colours, resolution, chess board… should be far better than what is out there now. The chess pieces, board… should look 'very close' to real… so as to be pleasing to the tournament chess player's eye…

Game of Kings and Tall Chess are two amazing apps for Game Center based multiplayer games.
I disagree. We tested those apps. Shredder and apps like that are a class above.
