iPhone 5 To Debut on September 21st? TomTom iOS App Gets Foursquare
0We all want to know when the new iPhone will be released to the market. We have already seen enough rumors for a few iPhone launches. It is clear that the device will have a larger screen and a smaller dock connector. According to TechCrunch, Apple could release its new product some time around September 21st. A trusted Verizon employee has told TC that Verizon will impose an all-staff vacation blackout from September 21st to September 30th.
The announcement will most likely be made a few days earlier though (September 12th). Apple has surprised us with its product launches in the past. But the dates do seem to make sense considering that the release date is pretty near. Considering that the leaked iPhone 5 have been assembled by iResQ and seem to fit perfectly, we may already know too much about the device.
The docking port and headphone jack assembly seemed to fit perfectly inside of the frame…. One of our technicians was even able to screw the assembly into the pre-aligned screw holes inside of the frame. All of the threading and screw holes lined up perfectly with the screw holes in the docking port/headphone jack assembly,
explained iResQ. Not all parts are there but this does show what we can expect the new iPhone to look like (above picture courtesy iResQ).
Speaking of updates, the TomTom app for iOS has received an update as well. TomTom has refreshed its GPS application for iPad and iPhone with a new user interface. Foursquare and updated maps have been added to the app. Users will be able to search Foursquare’s database of businesses to find places to navigate to with TomTom. The updated TomTom app includes some privacy fixes too. The update will be available for free.
