8 Superb GRE Apps for iPhone & iPad
2The GRE exam does not need any introduction. It is one of the tests you may have to take to get into the graduate school of your dream. The exam is not difficult to pass with flying colors. But you need to be extremely prepared. We have already covered apps business school candidates can use to prepare for GMAT. Here are 8 iPhone apps that prepare for your GRE:
GRE ScoreQuest: one of the best GRE apps we have tested. It has more than 300 practice problems with detailed explanations and covers various parts of the exam.
GRE Vocab Genius: when I was preparing for this exam years ago, the vocabulary section was the area I had the most problem preparing for. If you have the same problem, this flash card app can help.
GRE for iPhone: an awesome app that helps you prepare for the math section of this exam. You get 1200 interactive practice problems and plenty of video training material.
GRE Vocabulary Visuals: an intuitive app with 500 high frequency GRE words. It uses visuals and high quality audio to help you master those words.
GRE Flash Cards: consists of more than 5000 words that you may encounter during your test. Just go through these words to find out which ones you need to further work on.
Kaplan GRE® Exam Vocabulary Flashcards: it used to be one of the very best GRE apps around. It has 500+ flashcards covering must-know words. The trouble is the app has not been updated for a while. But the content is solid.
GRE Vocabulary by McGraw Hill: not the cheapest GRE training app around. But it’s another decent app to practice your vocabulary before your test. It combines audio + text for study on the go.
Mathemagics: this app was not specifically developed for the GRE exam takers. But it has plenty of shortcuts you can use to calculate math equations in your head faster. If you know the exam material inside and out, techniques from apps like this can give you an edge.
Getting very high GRE scores requires hard work and dedication on your part. You are going to have to read the official guides cover to cover. The above GRE apps also help you better prepare for this exam.
Would it have killed you to put the prices in with the descriptions?
No. But prices change and we got complaints when we did it. Damned if you do and if you don\’t. My apologies for not having them. But many app developers keep reducing their prices or increasing them and then we have to update all the lists. We could do it dynamically but it slows the site down further.
Again my apologies.
